Inspirational Treasures: A Mom's Dream for Her Family

Author: Sara Duggan

When I was first married in April of 1994 my husband and I set our sites on a couple of acres with children and animals to boot. We have endured many trials since that lovely day of exchanging vows and dedicating our hearts to each other.

We now have 2 beautifully active boys ages 9 and 3. It is now almost 11 years since that wedding day that seems just like yesterday. No we don't live on a hobby farm, the boys are into television and video games to our dismay, but we are still married. We are still plugging away at what our original dream was" ?to live peacefully together on our own land so that the children and the animals can have space to move and play.

I have studied the work at home options out there for going on 7 years now. I dabbled in affiliate marketing with no profit. I sold some crocheted items online but lost most in postage and to a sucker heart that likes to give my creations away rather than sell them.

Here I am now, past 30, with two children growing up faster than I can count to 10. My husband is in school and working part time. I am again looking into working at home options but this time I think I have found what will soon be a full fledged business at home that all of the family will participate in one day.

I am a Representative for a number of Direct Sale Companies under my name, Mama's Shoppe. Mama's Shoppe wants to offer Mom's and their families great products, a way to start their own business, and a place where they can go to talk and get advice from other moms.

My family shoppe "Mama's Shoppe"? was made live in August of 2004. We are celebrating our 1 year anniversary this month. We have partnered with a company that offers low price unique quality products that I feel can be used in both homes and offices alike. We offer a variety of items for sale in this store from home and garden dcor to edible gifts, toys, Tween Scene, and more.

As we continue to go forward into the world of business we want to take with us the lessons we have learned this first year. It is both scary and exciting at the same time to run your own business. I pray that we will succeed in our endeavors as business owners but most importantly as a family. After all, it is for family that we are doing this.

Before I end, I would like to encourage all moms and Dads to HOPE AGAIN. For a time I had giving up on hope but now it is alive and strong in me. I will continue knowing that my family is the most important commodity in this world and providing for them both financially and emotionally is well worth the many hours spent maintaining a Home Business.

Have a Super Day!
